It’s the hardest things in the world to let Issa fall. But I know I have to.

Issa’s current favorite book is about Jimmy, a rabbit who wants to learn how to ride a bike. 

I love the book too — but there’s one part that I always change when I read it to him.

In the book, Jimmy asks, “What if I fall again?”

His dad says, “Don’t worry. I’ll stay close to catch you if you fall.”

Well, I’m not going to be able to catch Issa every time he falls; nor do I want to. 

So I change the dad’s response to, “Don’t worry. It’s ok if you fall. I’ll stay close to help you back up.”
