Networking 101:
If someone helps you with something, share the results (successful or unsuccessful) with them!
- If the results were successful, it will make them happy; and therefore more likely that they will help you or others in the future, because they see the results. It also provides another checkpoint opportunity for you.
- Even if the results were unsuccessful, let them know you appreciated it. Again, that's another checkpoint opportunity for you. And who knows, maybe they will think of another way of helping you.
